phpBB hacking

Just done some hacks on a phpBB2 forum, including integrating javascript Vietnamese keyboard with user's option on input type, correcting back user-id in database (hugely increased, and lost user-id=1), bringing search box to front page and nearly every page, making it more bilingual, focusing pointer in search and login input, showing latest active threads in index, adding an rss/atom, etc.

Feel satisfied with the results. However, a later upgrade of phpBB may become a challenge.

第24回日本平まつり ー 大花火大会

場所：静岡市清水区・日本平ホテル野外庭園, 7月27日(水) 19:30〜20:30, 打上数: 1万発, 2004年の人出: 3万5000人 (including me!).

Update: ふくろい遠州の花火, 袋井市 原野谷川親水公園, 8月6日（土）. 県内最大の花火大会 and one of the biggest 花火大会 in Japan, with two sessions 16:00〜19:00(昼花火) and 19:00〜21:00(夜花火). 打ち上げ数: 3万発, 2004年の人出: 35万人. The second time I've been in Fukuroi - used to be there for a football match, when just coming to Japan.

Finland trip

Just been there for a scientific meeting.

Flight itinenary: Left Narita (CX) at 17:00 June 10, reached Hong Kong at 20:45, left for Heathrow at 23:55 and reached there at 05:45+1. Nearly late for the flight to Helsinki-Vantaa (AY) at 07:30 because of not noticing London is GMT+1 at this season. Reached Helsinki at 12:25. On the way back on June 16, left Helsinki-Vantaa at 16:00, reached Heathrow at 17:10, left for Hong Kong at 18:15 and reached there at 13:20+1, left for Narita at 15:05 and reached Japan at 20:20, then used 21:14 JR Narita Rapid to Tokyo, Tokaido Line to Atami at 0:42, Moonlight Nagara 1:14 to Shizuoka 2:26, and caught 5:06 train to Kusanagi.
